This small 8’ X 11’ bedroom has become a “catch all” space for all items that don’t have a home elsewhere in the house. Client requirement is to transform this room so that it serves a dual purpose as a home office and scrap booking workspace (with an emphasis on scrapbooking).
SOLUTION:
Utilized vertical space to create an attractive way to store supplies and tools which need to remain in stock. Developed system to allow easy transfer of supplies and tools from permanent location to portable cases for offsite events. Developed system to keep current working projects together yet out of sight when not working on them. Installed wall-mounted folding table for additional workspace when needed.
Family Room
Originally, this living space had a bare wall in the back with a narrow alcove on the left hand side. The family’s requirements included plenty of hidden storage as well as shelving for books and photos. This room also has a large working fireplace that the family uses often and they required convenient wood storage.
SOLUTION:
A custom look was achieved creating a feeling of precise yet tranquil order. Four store bought units were slightly modified to sit flush with each other against the back wall. The doors were removed from the two center units to allow some open shelving. The alcove on the left was converted into an attractive storage space for wood. And moldings were added to achieve a built in effect.
Bathroom Remodel
This family was remodeling their master bath and wanted to ensure ample storage in a tight space and to keep the items on the counter to a minimum.
SOLUTION:
By incorporating his and hers medicine cabinets, drawer dividers, utilizing products that allow families to remain organized while enhancing their in home experience; … the results speak for themselves!
Command Center
A busy family of 4, each with their own schedule, events, and mailings. The requirements included being able to separate out family member mailings, eliminate the need for posting things on the refrigerator but still being able to “see” key documents that required action.
SOLUTION:
We leveraged a small space in the kitchen to accommodate all the family needs. A simple five-tiered desk accessory provided a mail slot for each family member plus an extra one for any household mailings such as bills. A magnetic white board allows for a space to post school schedules, invitations, appointment reminders, and photos.
Reach In Closet
Matching husband and wife closets that were literally falling apart need to have space and function optimized. Said the homeowner … “It doesn’t have to be pretty, it’s just a closet … but we need our belongings organized!
SOLUTION:
We removed the existing shelf system and purchased a store bought rack and shelf system and configured it to optimize convenience and storage.
